Pre-School Room (30 months – School Age)

The Gymea Bay Pre-Kindergarten preschool room caters for children aged 36 months to School Age.

The Preschool Room is home to our School Readiness Program led by our Early Childhood Teachers. Each child is supported as they build independence in readiness for school through an active, exciting and stimulating educational program. The focus of this program is to ensure your child is meeting social and developmental milestones, to allow them to thrive in a school environment. Placing an importance on the foundations of literacy and numeracy skills, by providing experiences that encourage one to explore, discover, negotiate, take risks, create meaning and solve problems.

Our educators challenge and scaffold individual and group learning to ensure all children are acquiring knowledge, asking questions, investigating and reflecting upon their daily experiences. Children are supported to understand their feelings and emotions and apply this to everyday life.

Whilst our educators follow a daily routine that is designed to maximise children’s learning needs, we do offer flexibility and take into account individual requirements.
